The Range of Custom Work
Custom monument work spans a wide range — from a single personalized element added to an otherwise standard design, to a fully original monument conceived and executed from scratch. The following represent the most common forms of custom work we undertake.
Custom Shapes & Silhouettes
Standard monument shapes — rectangles, ovals, hearts — are a starting point, not a limit. We can produce monuments in virtually any shape: a cross, an open book, a guitar, a tree, a shield, a heart, or any form that carries personal meaning. Custom shapes are cut from solid granite or marble and finished to the same standard as any other monument we produce.
Portrait Etchings & Laser Engraving
A photographic portrait etched into polished granite is one of the most powerful and personal elements a memorial can carry. Using precision laser engraving technology, we can render a person's likeness with extraordinary detail — capturing not just their features but their expression, their warmth, their presence. We work from the best available photograph and review the result with the family before the stone is finalized.
Scene & Landscape Engraving
A favorite place — a farm, a lake, a mountain, a church — can be engraved into the stone as a detailed scene. Hunting and fishing imagery, pastoral landscapes, cityscapes, and religious scenes are all achievable. These engravings transform a monument into a window into the person's world.
Custom Epitaphs & Poetry

Restoration & Renovation

How a Custom Monument Is Made

The Conversation
Every custom monument begins with a conversation — not a form. We want to understand the person being honored: who they were, what they loved, what their family wants to feel when they stand at the memorial. There is no agenda and no pressure. We listen first.

Design Development
Based on our conversation, we develop an initial design concept — a detailed visual proof showing the shape, layout, imagery, lettering, and material choices. We present this to the family and refine it through as many rounds as needed until every detail is right.

Material Selection
We guide the family through material choices — granite color, marble variety, bronze elements, finish options — with honest guidance on how each choice will look and perform over time. We never recommend a more expensive option unless it genuinely serves the design.

Approval & Crafting
No stone is cut and no casting is ordered until the family has reviewed and approved the final design proof in writing. Once approved, we move to production — working with our craftsmen and foundry partners to execute the design with precision.

Quality Review
Every completed monument is inspected against the approved design before it leaves our facility. Lettering, imagery, dimensions, finish, and structural integrity are all verified. If anything falls short of our standard, it is corrected before installation is scheduled.

Installation
We coordinate directly with the cemetery to schedule and complete installation. We handle all logistics, permits, and cemetery communications so the family can focus entirely on what matters most. We follow up after installation to confirm the family is satisfied.
